About JoA, the story and the community behind our creative space in Ericeira, Mafra

Jogos d'Arte (JoA) is a cultural space to celebrate creativity, in Ericeira ‘where the sea is bluer'. 

Thought by Maud and Michèle, daughter and mother, JoA is a friendly and cosy place, full of resources for children and the adults around them!

Childhood is a privileged moment where wonder, freedom and play nourish development, expression of emotions and self-confidence.

To cultivate these wonderful abilities, JoA offers cultural and artistic activities for the development of the 5 senses: sharpen the eyes, untie the fingers, stimulate the listening, explore smells and experiment tastes.

We propose multiple experiences to discover and practice different art forms and meet artists and craftspeople. We promote cooperation between children and time shared with family and friends.

Through our approach, we wish to contribute to the development of children's respect for themselves, for others and for their environment.

This summer at JoA

This summer, give your children a space to explore, make and play! At JoA, we offer creative afternoons for kids aged 4 to 10 — mosaic, painting, clay, candle-making… each session is a brand-new artistic adventure, full of hands-on discovery and imagination.

Workshops run in July — weeks of 6–10, 20–24, and 27–31 — from 1:30 to 5:30 PM.

Pricing: €27.50 per session or €125 for a full week.
